What You Will Do:

1. Collaborate with Quality and Technical teams to review customer specifications and create tailored work instructions for metallurgical processes.
2. Work closely with planning and operations departments to ensure production targets are met efficiently and accurately.
3. Conduct microstructural testing using advanced optical and digital tools, leading investigations to identify root causes of deviations and implementing corrective actions.
4. Digitise and organise metallurgical data, ensuring it is accessible for audits and technical reviews.
5. Support live process audits by verifying that all metal additions, chemistry, and casting characteristics meet required specifications.
6. Lead failure analysis investigations, identifying causes of casting failures and recommending preventive measures.

What You Will Bring:

1. A degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a closely related discipline.
2. A keen interest in metallurgical processes and continuous improvement.
3. Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills.
4. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
5. Experience in industrial or laboratory settings is advantageous but not essential.
