Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in metal dressing/finishing.
• Desirable but not essential: reading engineering drawings.
• Able to work unsupervised in a small team.

Responsibilities

• Dress welds on components to a high standard.
• Use hand tools including grinders and sanding tools as part of dressing process.
• Work in a shift environment with supervision and within production flow.

Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Metal Dresser, for a client located in Ferryhill. This is a Temp to Perm role. Working as part of a small team, working with a variety of hand tools, within your scope of responsibility. Metal Dresser Main Duties & Responsibilities: Working with a variety of hand tools including electric grinders, pneumatic grinders and pad sanding tools. Dressing welds on components of various shapes and sizes ready for painting. Ensuring parts are left with a dressed finish to a high standard. Working unsupervised in a team, working through various jobs without assistance. Metal Dresser Applicants: Must have 1+ years’ experience of working in a metal dressing/finishing environment. Experience of working to and understanding engineering drawings is desirable but not essential. The ability to work unsupervised. Monday to Thursday 6:00am – 2:30pm, Friday 6:00am – 12:30pm). Hourly rates: Days: £12.71 2-shift £15.25 Day Shift: Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm and Friday 8am – 12.30pm. 2-Shifts: Monday to Thursday 2.30pm – 11pm and Friday 12.30pm – 7pm & Monday to Thursday 6am – 2.30pm and Friday 6am – 12.30pm.
