Job summary

Syngenta is seeking an Analytical Chemist for the Metabolomics Group within Product Safety at Jealott's Hill, Bracknell area. In this role you will lead high-throughput LC-MS metabolomics data generation and coordinate sample pipelines to meet tight deadlines, collaborating with matrix teams and supporting analysts.

You will troubleshoot analytical methods, maintain QA/QC standards, and guide junior colleagues while developing experimental programs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Metabolomics, or related field with demonstrated LC-MS experience.
• Experience with high-throughput LC-MS metabolomics workflows.
• Strong data QA/QC and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-throughput LC-MS metabolomics workflow execution.
• Deliver high-quality data within agreed timelines, manage sample logistics and instrument scheduling.
• Troubleshoot analytical issues and support method development.
• Ensure data quality and integrity with QA/QC procedures.
• Mentor colleagues and coordinate study-specific workflows.
