Job summary

The Vella Group is seeking a skilled MET Technician to join our Penrith team. With over 30 years in the industry and 18 sites nationwide, we repair vehicles with precision and care on-site in Penrith.

We value high-quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and ongoing training as part of a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Electric vehicle knowledge is considered a plus for this role.

Qualifications

• IMI/ATA MET Technician qualification or equivalent Bodyshop experience.
• Proven experience in accident repair and vehicle rebuilds.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of electric vehicles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Dismantling and reassembling mechanical, electrical, and trim components with precision and care.
• Performing four-wheel alignment checks and repairs using manufacturer-recommended methods.
• Ensuring vehicles are properly protected throughout the repair process.
• Collaborating with Technicians, Vehicle Damage Assessors, and Production teams to ensure efficient workflows.
• Adhering to health and safety standards, including COSHH requirements and appropriate PPE usage.
• Working with electric vehicles and staying updated on emerging vehicle technologies.
