Job summary

The Vella Group is seeking an MET Technician to strip and rebuild mechanical, electrical, and trim components of customer vehicles to the highest standard. You will perform four-wheel alignment checks and ensure proper safety and PPE usage throughout the repair process.

Working with fellow Technicians, Vehicle Damage Assessors, and the Production Team, you will maintain a smooth production flow while adhering to COSHH guidance. EV experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• IMI/ATA MET qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in bodyshop environment preferred.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Strip and rebuild mechanical, electrical and trim components to high standard.
• Perform four-wheel alignment checks and repairs per manufacturer methods.
• Protect vehicles during repair with proper PPE and safety practices.
• Collaborate with Technicians, VDA and Production Team for smooth workflow.
• Adhere to health, safety and COSHH regulations; work with EV technology.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF AN MET TECHNICIAN:

• As an MET Technician you will strip and rebuild the mechanical, electrical, and trim components of a customer’s vehicle to the highest standard.
• Carry out four-wheel alignment checks and adjustments and complete these repairs using manufacturer and industry methods of repair.
• Ensure the vehicle is protected during the stages of repair using safety and protection equipment.
• You will work closely with your fellow Technicians, Vehicle Damage Assessors, and the Production Team to ensure a smooth and complete production process for all vehicles.
• Adhere to company policies, guidelines and health and safety regulations (operate within Covid-19 guidelines, check appropriate PPE, have knowledge of COSHH requirements etc.)
• Have working experience with electric vehicles

• Ideally you will be an IMI/ATA qualified MET Technician with strong Bodyshop experience.
• You have a strong work ethic to provide the best quality service.

• Ideally, you will hold a full UK driving license.

42.5hours per week - Monday to Friday (8.5hour shifts)
