Octane Recruitment Ltd in Luton is recruiting an experienced MET Technician, capable of working on mechanical, electrical and trim components on accident-damaged vehicles. You will diagnose faults, remove and refit components, and ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications.

The role offers a four-day week (Friday–Sunday off), a rate of £25.04 per hour plus an uncapped monthly bonus, with ongoing training, progression opportunities and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• MET experience in bodyshop or accident repair environment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and trim repair skills.
• Ability to strip, repair and rebuild accident-damaged vehicles.

Responsabilités

• Strip and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components on accident-damaged vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Remove and refit bumpers, dashboards, suspension and interior trim.
• Carry out vehicle repairs in line with manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect vehicles and identify additional damage or repair requirements.
• Work closely with Panel Beaters, Paint Technicians and Vehicle Damage Assessors.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality and Health & Safety.

We are recruiting for an experienced MET Technician, Mechanical Electrical Trim Technician or Strip and Fit Technician to join a leading accident repair centre in Luton. Applicants must have previous MET experience within a bodyshop or accident repair environment, with strong mechanical, electrical and trim repair skills.

Location: Luton, Bedfordshire

Salary: Up to £60,069 per annum

Hourly Rate: £25.04 + Uncapped Monthly Bonus

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 11:00am – 10:45pm

• Ability to strip, repair and rebuild accident-damaged vehicles
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a busy workshop team
• Willingness to work the Monday-to-Thursday twilight shift
