Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced MET Technician in Glasgow to work on mechanical, electrical and trim aspects of accident repair and vehicle restoration. The role involves strip, fit, diagnostics and rebuild work to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition.

Qualifications

• Experience as MET/Vehicle/Bodyshop technician in accident repair.
• Strong diagnostic skills for mechanical and electrical faults.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and fault diagnosis.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced bodyshop environment.
• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out full MET stripping and refitting of vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults related to accident damage.
• Remove and refit components to support panel repairs and bodywork restoration.
• Complete vehicle diagnostics, fault finding, and system checks.
• Rebuild vehicles ensuring correct fitment and safety standards.
• Work closely with panel and paint technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
• Ensure all work meets manufacturer and bodyshop standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all repair work carried out.
