Job summary

The Vella Group in Coventry is seeking a skilled MET Technician to join our expanding accident repair team. As an MET Technician you will dismantle, repair and reassemble mechanical, electrical and trim components and ensure high-quality workmanship for customers.

This on-site role offers 42.5 hours per week (8.5 hour shifts, Monday to Friday) with training, career development, and benefits including enhanced maternity/paternity pay, Perkbox discounts, MediCash health support, childcare

Qualifications

• IMI/ATA MET Technician qualification (or equivalent experience in a Bodyshop).
• Proven experience in accident repair and vehicle rebuilds.
• A full UK driving licence (required).
• Knowledge and/or experience working with electric vehicles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Dismantling and reassembling mechanical, electrical, and trim components with precision and care.
• Performing four-wheel alignment checks and repairs using manufacturer-recommended methods.
• Ensuring vehicles are properly protected throughout the repair process.
• Collaborating with Technicians, Vehicle Damage Assessors, and Production teams to ensure efficient workflows.
• Adhering to health and safety standards, including COSHH requirements and appropriate PPE usage.
• Working with electric vehicles and staying updated on emerging vehicle technologies.

We're now looking for a skilled MET Technician to join our expanding team in Coventry.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician, you’ll play a key role in restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. Your responsibilities will include:

• Dismantling and reassembling mechanical, electrical, and trim components with precision and care
• Performing four-wheel alignment checks and repairs using manufacturer-recommended methods
• Ensuring vehicles are properly protected throughout the repair process
• Collaborating with Technicians, Vehicle Damage Assessors, and Production teams to ensure efficient workflows
• Adhering to health and safety standards, including COSHH requirements and appropriate PPE usage
• Working with electric vehicles and staying updated on emerging vehicle technologies

About You

We’re looking for someone who is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and thrives in a team environment. Ideally, you’ll have:

• IMI/ATA MET Technician qualification (or equivalent experience in a Bodyshop environment)
• Proven experience in accident repair and vehicle rebuilds
• A full UK driving licence (required)
• The ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
• A strong commitment to delivering high‑quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
• Knowledge and/or experience working with electric vehicles is a plus
