Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd in Southport is seeking an experienced MET Technician to join a busy accident repair team. You will strip and rebuild mechanical, electrical and trim components to exacting standards and carry out four-wheel alignment checks to manufacturer specs.

A proactive, safety‑minded approach is essential to ensure high quality repairs and customer satisfaction. Working Monday to Friday, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, you will use your IMI/ATA qualification and bodyshop

Qualifications

• Proven MET Technician experience with IMI/ATA or equivalent.
• Experience in a bodyshop environment is essential.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting with multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Strip and rebuild mechanical, electrical, and trim components to high standards.
• Conduct four-wheel alignment checks and adjustments per manufacturer specs.
• Ensure vehicles are protected during repair with appropriate safety equipment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, vehicle damage assessors, and production team to maintain workflow.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including COSHH and PPE requirements.
• Work with electric vehicles using relevant technical knowledge and skills.

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced MET Technician to join a reputable accident repair specialist in Southport.

Full‑time, onsite position based in Southport, working Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week.

Duties

• Strip and rebuild the mechanical, electrical, and trim components of vehicles to high standards
• Conduct four‑wheel alignment checks and adjustments in accordance with manufacturer specifications
• Ensure vehicles are protected during repair with appropriate safety equipment
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, vehicle damage assessors, and the production team to maintain smooth workflow
• Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines, including COSHH and PPE requirements
• Work with electric vehicles using relevant technical knowledge and skills

Requirements

• Proven experience as an MET Technician or Auto Electrician with a recognised industry qualification such as IMI/ATA
• Strong experience working within a bodyshop environment
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast‑paced environment and multitask
• Dedication to delivering high‑quality work and customer service excellence
• Full UK driving licence is preferred
