Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking an MET Technician in Dunmow, Essex. The role focuses on removing, refitting and replacing mechanical, electrical and trim components during vehicle repairs.

You will ensure correct reassembly following accident damage repairs and work closely with colleagues to keep a smooth repair flow. The position offers a basic salary of £45,000 - £55,000+ depending on experience, with an OTE £60,000+.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanical, Electrical & Trim (NVQ / IMI / SVQ / VRQ / ATA or equivalent).
• Previous MET Technician experience in automotive repair environment.
• Confident removing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components.

Responsibilities

• Remove and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components.
• Carry out vehicle strip-down and rebuild work.
• Identify damaged components and report additional repair requirements.
• Ensure components are fitted correctly and vehicle systems are reassembled accurately.
• Work with other technicians to support an efficient repair process.
• Follow repair procedures and health and safety requirements.
