Job summary

Checkout.com is seeking a strategic operations leader to bridge merchant care and configuration with AI-driven improvements. You will sit alongside the Head of Operational Excellence, translating complex ops challenges into clear, data-backed narratives and identifying where AI and automation can deliver step-change improvements in how we serve, configure, and retain merchants.

You will shape the AI opportunity roadmap, evaluate build-vs-buy options, and collaborate with Data and Product teams

Qualifications

• 3+ years in strategy, operations, consulting, or Chief of Staff roles in fintech/payments/B2B SaaS.
• Genuine curiosity about AI, LLMs, and automation with practical business applications.
• Strong ability to distill complex problems into clear recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Build business cases for AI and automation initiatives in Merchant Ops.
• Define AI strategy and roadmap across Care and Config.
• Translate operational needs into AI product directions with data teams.
• Define metrics and feedback loops to measure AI performance and service quality.
• Lead leadership rituals: planning cycles, OKRs, and cross-functional syncs.
