Job summary

Deliveroo is seeking a Data Science Manager for the Merchants team in London. You will lead a team of four to seven data scientists, guiding analytical direction and delivering measurable impact across merchant acquisition, onboarding, retention and operations.

You'll collaborate with Product, Engineering, Strategy, Operations and Commercial to shape priorities, translate data science into product decisions, and grow a high-performing team in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading data science teams and delivering measurable impact.
• Strong background in experimentation, causal inference or applied ML.
• Ability to translate data science into product, operational or commercial decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own analytical direction and measurable impact for Merchants area.
• Lead and develop a team of ~4–7 data scientists.
• Grow the team and bring structure to a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
• Identify high-value problems and guide analytical approach.
• Ensure work drives product, operational or commercial decisions.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Strategy, Operations and Commercial.
• Maintain high analytical standards, delegate and coach the team.
