Job summary

Deliveroo is seeking a Data Science Manager to lead the Delivery team in London. You will own the analytical direction and guide a team of 4–6 data scientists to impact rider pay, incentives, supply and demand, and network performance.

You will partner with Operations, Product, Machine Learning and Engineering to translate insights into operational, product and commercial decisions while developing your team in a fast-paced marketplace.

Qualifications

• Experience line managing data scientists and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong background as a senior data science individual contributor.
• Expertise in experimentation and causal inference.
• Ability to reason through complex systems and understand network-wide effects.
• Experience translating analysis into operational, product or commercial decisions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working with senior leaders.
• Ability to bring structure to ambiguity and shape a clear roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 4–6 data scientists.

• Provide coaching and technical direction in a fast-moving environment.
