Job summary

JD Sports is seeking a Merchandiser to support the merchandising function, ensuring optimal stock and intake to meet customer demand and maximize sales and profit. You will lead and manage a team while collaborating with Buying, Trading, Digital, and VM to drive commercial decisions.

In this role you will analyse historical data, plan assortments, sign off packs, manage central plans and ensure stores stay aligned with planned option counts, delivering results across stores and digital channels.

Qualifications

• Experience in merchandising, analytics, and stock planning.
• Proven ability to lead a team and manage stakeholders.
• Strong Excel skills and data-driven decision making.
• Knowledge of planograms and range planning tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own department strategy aligned with wider business goals.
• Create and manage product mix packs and critical path.
• Lead weekly trade meetings and report department performance.
• Collaborate with Buying, Trading, Digital, VM teams to drive actions.
• Oversee stock intake, OTB, and store stock allocation.
