Mint Velvet is seeking a motivated Merchandiser to drive omnichannel optimisation across product ranges, stores, and digital platforms. You will generate actionable trading insights and help propel the department forward in a fast-paced, growing business.

You will work in a collaborative, data-driven environment, focusing on profitability and stock management while supporting balancing margins and lead times across channels.

Responsabilidades

• Support long-term strategies to maximise profitability across ranges, stores, and digital channels.
• Handle range building, historical analysis, and accurate line buys with correct sizing decisions.
• Articulate season plans and balance to identify opportunities and risks across the team.
• Perform weekly analyses of department, product, and store performance to spot trading patterns.
• Provide analytics to support commercial decisions and drive business goals.
• Offer insights on all channels, considering margin, go-live timing, stock, and sales potential.
• Collaborate with Buyers on sourcing strategy balancing margin, lead time, and sustainability.
• Control department stock levels against plan and challenge optimal stock levels.
• Manage the Critical Path from booking styles to stock arriving in the business.
• Work with colleagues across the business to meet department and brand objectives.
• Regularly conduct competitor analysis to inform trading decisions and improvements.
• Inspire the team with innovative ideas that have commercial value.

This is an exciting opportunity for highly motivated and customer-focussed Merchandiser to join us. You will be responsible for driving the omnichannel optimisation of your product area, ensuring we can provide actionable trading insight and drive the department forwards.

The Role

• Support the creation of long-term strategies to maximise the profitability of the ranges, the stores and the digital business and to deliver in-season actions to maximise profit opportunities
• Range building, including completing historical analysis, accurately calculating line buys and ensuring accurate sizing decisions are made
• Articulate season plans, stretch plans and balance to achieve on a regular basis across the team to help identify opportunities and risks
• Complete weekly analysis of department, product and store performance in order to establish trading patterns
• Provide relevant analytics to support commercial decisions, taking appropriate action to influence the achievement of business goals
• Provide insight and analysis on all channels - demonstrating your strong awareness of achieved margin, time constraints to go live, stocks and the maximum sales potential of each channel
• Partner with your Buyer in developing and maintaining a sourcing strategy that ensures the optimal balance of margin, lead time flexibility and sustainability
• Control your department stock levels effectively against plan, whilst challenging what correct stock levels should be in relation to current trade performance
• Manage the Critical Path process from booking style to stock arriving in the business
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the wider business to deliver department and brand objectives
• Regularly undertake competitor analysis - using your findings to highlight and act on any ideas, opportunities or concerns back in the Trading team
• Inspire your team by communicating innovative ideas and solutions, which have commercial value

What You'll Have

• Proven relevant trading experience; comfy making brave and wise trading decisions at pace within the context of the macro environment
• Proactive at interrogating data to identify risks and opportunities, and devising action plans and resolutions for these
• You’re resilient - able to adapt, respond and effectively work through challenges
• You display an outstanding understanding of Mint Velvet’s market position and competitors
