Job summary

Mint Velvet is seeking a highly motivated Merchandiser (Maternity Cover) based in High Wycombe. The role focuses on omnichannel optimisation of product ranges, using analytics to drive profitability and stock efficiency.

You will work closely with Buyers and Trading teams to deliver in-season actions and insights. The role offers office-based work with a supportive induction, development opportunities and a range of staff perks, including private health insurance and a 50% staff discount.

Qualifications

• You’re highly numerical and data-driven.
• Excellent communication skills with all levels.
• Proactive and organised in a fast-moving context.
• Proven relevant trading experience; able to trade at pace.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation of long-term strategies to maximise profitability.
• Range building and historical analysis for buy decisions.
• Articulate season plans and balance to identify opportunities and risks.
• Weekly analysis of department, product and store performance to establish trading patterns.
• Provide analytics to support commercial decisions and influence goals.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver department and brand objectives.
• Regular competitor analysis to inform trading decisions.
