V&C Associates are excited to be working with one of the UK's fastest growing performance brands, recognized worldwide as a leader in technical fabrics and style. Due to expansion, the brand is looking to appoint a Merchandiser to join their team, focusing on analysis, delivering cohesive ranges, trading stock, and maximizing sales potential – reporting to the Trading Director.

This autonomous position manages a turnover of £15 million at retail.

Responsibilities:

Planning:

• Responsible for planning across a multi-channel business, with support from the Trading Director.
• Plan across product categories, working within approved parameters, focusing on profit and risk.
• Create and manage buying bibles for seasonal buys, reforecast during wholesale seasons to ensure adequate stock coverage, and identify trading opportunities, working within OTB budgets.
• Complete buys for drop ship customers.
• Coordinate with the Supply Chain team to finalize company buys based on forecasts, submitting proposals for approval.
• Work closely with the supply chain to ensure product availability aligns with merchandising plans and launch dates.
• Produce end-of-season analysis to identify trends and inform future product development.

Trading:

• Prepare weekly trade packs including drop ship and wholesale key account data, and suggest in-season actions.
• Manage and propose promotional activities for drop ship accounts.
• Monitor sales forecasts versus actuals, highlighting discrepancies and recommending actions to manage stock levels.
• Support trading teams to meet KPIs, with regular review of delivery schedules.
• Forecast styles to maximize sales and ensure stock availability.
• Maintain global price lists with correct wholesale and RRP pricing.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Marketing, and Sales teams.
• Handle daily queries and issues within the department.
