Quantity Surveyor - London, UK South Build Division

The UK Build South Business is looking for an MEP Quantity Surveyor to join the team on one of our healthcare projects. Working alongside the Project Director, the role will be working within & assisting the commercial & construction team to ensure a successful project is delivered, while maintaining relationships, maximising commercial returns and managing risk.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Preparing tenders, analysing, selecting appropriate sub-contractors, negotiation & finalising sub-contractor orders, financial & commercial management of sub-contractors to Final Account completion.
• Managing and reporting forecasts, targets, reconciliations, site records, document control, variation reporting, valuations, assisting in site records & document control.
• Liaising with & commercially influencing/challenging the site management team whilst maintaining & protecting JSS commercial & contractual entitlement.
• Managing & overseeing AQS & TQS, checking & taking responsibility for their work & signing off SMM/measurement issues.

Qualifications:

• Experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor in build projects.
• Experience working on large Hospital/Healthcare schemes (ideal for the projects).
• A relevant 3rd level qualification.
• Experience in report writing, forecast planning and engaging with clients and senior leaders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
