Qualiteach Education Group Ltd is hiring a Mentor for an SEN/SEMH school in Hackney. You will support students 1:1 and in small groups to overcome barriers to learning and improve engagement.

The role focuses on emotional wellbeing, behaviour management, and building positive relationships with pupils, teachers and pastoral staff. Experience in mentoring or youth work is preferred; patience and resilience are essential.

This is a full-time position with an immediate start in Hackney.

The Role - Mentor

I am recruiting for a Mentor to support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups within an SEN/SEMH school in Hackney. You will help students overcome barriers to learning, manage their emotions and develop their confidence. As a Mentor, you will support students in lessons, deliver targeted mentoring sessions and encourage positive behaviour and attendance. You will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to set achievable goals, monitor progress and help pupils develop positive relationships. This role would suit someone with experience in mentoring, youth work or supporting children with SEN or SEMH needs. You must be patient, resilient and confident using de-escalation strategies.

The School - Mentor

This role is based within a specialist school in Hackney supporting students who need additional help with their learning, behaviour and emotional wellbeing. You will work alongside the school team to provide consistent support tailored to each students needs.
