Job summary

Qualiteach Education Group Ltd is seeking an experienced SEN Mentor in Hackney to support pupils with SEN and SEMH needs. You will work 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils engage in lessons, manage emotions and build confidence.

Working closely with teachers, you will deliver targeted interventions, support individual learning and behaviour goals in a specialist SEN setting, fostering a patient, nurturing approach while managing challenging behaviour.

• Strong behaviour management skills essential.

The Role - SEN Mentor

I am recruiting for an SEN Mentor to support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. You will help pupils engage in lessons, manage their emotions and develop their confidence and independence. As an SEN Mentor, you will work closely with teachers to deliver targeted interventions and support pupils with their individual learning and behaviour goals. This role would suit someone who is patient, nurturing and confident managing challenging behaviour.

This role is based within a specialist SEN school in Hackney, supporting pupils with additional learning, social and emotional needs. The team works closely with families and professionals to provide a structured, supportive environment where pupils can make progress.
