Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Mental Health Practitioner to join the Access to Intervention (A2I) Team. The role covers triage, assessments, brief interventions and signposting, with crisis assessments in the community and at police stations.

You will work within a 24/7, 365-day service on a rolling one-year-on/one-year-off rota. Registration in mental health nursing, social work, learning disabilities nursing or occupational therapy is required.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a mental health nurse, social worker, learning disabilities nurse or occupational therapist

Responsibilities

• Triage referrals into adult mental health services
• Complete assessments and brief interventions
• Signpost service users to appropriate care pathways
• Respond to crisis presentations in the community and police stations
• Work shifts across a 24/7, 365-day service with a rolling rota
