  • Full UK Manual Driving License (Required)

Working in Health Care allows you to make a positive impact on vulnerable individuals and deliver high standards of patient transition care responsibly. You will support the Deputy Care Operations Manager (DCOM) in managing and developing the team to provide high-quality patient transitions.

We seek experienced, caring, and committed Mental Health Transport Team Leaders with engaging approaches who want to enhance their skills in the Mental Health sector.

This role is about more than driving; it involves safely transporting patients with care, respect, and empathy, ensuring smooth transitions. Sometimes trained techniques may be necessary for safety. Job satisfaction comes from playing a vital role during crises.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure health & safety standards daily, complying with legislation.
  • Model quality patient care, company values, policies, and procedures.
  • Uphold the Code of Conduct with the team.
  • Monitor and improve patient care standards, fostering a learning culture.
  • Assist with recruitment, induction, development, and retention of team members, mentoring new staff.
  • Communicate effectively between teams and managers.
  • Motivate and care for the team through positive communication, meetings, teamwork, and coaching.
  • Identify and support team development and address poor performance.
  • Manage electronic systems for data collection, review, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Handle administrative duties related to patient transitions.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and reflective practice.
  • Achieve KPIs, goals, and objectives.
  • Maintain vehicle standards at a high level.
  • Support change initiatives and new company projects.
  • Supervise rotas for optimal productivity and care standards.
  • Support business development through networking and client relationships.
  • Maintain high professional standards to protect the SCUK brand.
  • Collaborate with departments for deployments, audits, and SOPs.
  • Ensure all activities comply with legislation.
  • Deputize for the DCOM when needed.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties.

BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE:

Position: Mental Health Transport Assistant Team Leader, full-time, 40.3 hours per week, on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, alternating days and nights.

Note: Flexibility is required due to patient care needs, with potential schedule adjustments. Compensation includes a blended rate of £13.74/hour, with additional payments for overtime, night, and special activities, starting from an annual salary of approximately £28,839.51. Further details to be discussed during interviews.
