Job description

Mental Health Transport Assistant (Birmingham)

• To support and transport vulnerable service users as part of a team.
• To be able to attend the office within one hour during on-call shifts.
• Maintain an Enhanced DBS (organised and paid for during Induction).
• To provide a professional and caring service for all patients whilst in our care.
• To ensure that at all times patient safety remains paramount, and safe systems of work are adhered to.
• To support the care of patients during assessments in line with the Mental Health Act.
• Safe use of Company vehicles and equipment, preparing required patient paperwork, and driving to local and national locations.

Additional Information

Working times may change with reasonable notice due to business needs. Flexibility may be required for over-runs or hours adjustments.

Remuneration: Blended rate of £13.14 p/h (Day, Night, Weekend). Starting annual salary from £27,580.26, to be discussed during interview.

• Over-runs paid at £22p/h.
• Enhanced pay of £1.20/hr for work at a Mental Health place of safety and bed watch activities.
• Overtime and call-in shifts may attract an additional £1.75p/h, details to be discussed during interview.
