Job summary

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant for Stevenson Ward on The Harbour. The role requires you to support patients with mental health needs, work across a 24/7 service, and engage a diverse patient group with compassion and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills to support patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced mental health environment.
• Able to work flexibly across days, evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• IPC and cleaning duties as part of ward routine.
• Support with meals and patient leave both on the ward and in the community.
• Assist in times of crisis with clear communication and de-escalation where appropriate.
