Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Health Care Support Worker (Band 2) to join ward or department teams, delivering compassionate, dignity-based patient care and supporting service users, carers and families. The role emphasises teamwork, adherence to care standards and respectful communication under supervision.

You will contribute to patient comfort, maintain records, participate in mandatory training, and help develop the clinical area with new ideas while adhering to trust policies

Qualifications

• Possess or be willing to work towards the care certificate.
• Be able to demonstrate basic literacy and numeracy skills required for the post.
• Level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care.
• Functional skills level 1 numeracy.

Responsabilités

• Assist with the service of meals and support patients who may need assistance with eating and drinking.
• Assist with the safe moving, handling and mobilisation of patients following care plans.
• Communicate effectively with kindness, warmth and compassion.
• Maintain accurate records of care within area of responsibility.
• Provide reassurance and support to patients, carers and families.
• Attend to general tidiness and cleaning of the clinical environment.
• Report incidents, concerns or accidents to the Nurse in Charge.
