Job summary

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Healthcare Support Worker to join the Fylde Coast Home Treatment Team. The role involves providing care to individuals with mental health concerns who might otherwise require inpatient admission, in a community setting.

The postholder will contribute to risk management, work within a team, and undertake shift work. An induction and appraisal will support a Personal Development Plan and identify training needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the provision of assessment, care and treatment for people with a diagnosis of moderate to severe mental illness experiencing a mental health crisis.
• Support day-to-day functioning of the service and contribute creatively within the team to meet needs.
• Work without direct supervision after completion of induction.
• Participate in shift work as part of the role.
• Induction and appraisal to formulate a Personal Development Plan and identify training and development needs.
