Job summary

MedGen Healthcare is seeking compassionate Mental Health Support Workers to provide high-quality care to children and young people with complex mental health needs in the UK.

You will support autism and ADHD, help manage routines, and maintain records while using PMVA techniques when required. We offer flexible shifts and ongoing professional development within a supportive, CQC-regulated environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months UK experience as Mental Health Support Worker.
  • Experience supporting individuals with Autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
  • In-date PMVA training (or willingness to complete).
  • Ability to provide a clinical reference.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent emotional support and reassurance to children experiencing anxiety, distress, or behavioural challenges.
  • Support children with autism and ADHD to manage routines, transitions, and sensory sensitivities.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, mealtimes, hygiene, and maintaining a structured routine.
  • Implement behaviour support plans and positive behaviour strategies in line with care plans.
  • Safely manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using PMVA techniques where necessary.
  • Maintain accurate, clear, and timely records of care provided and incidents.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, structured, and stimulating environment tailored to individual needs.

Job description

MedGen Healthcare is seeking compassionate, resilient, and dedicated Mental Health Support Workers to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people with complex mental health needs.

This role involves supporting children and adolescents with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and other additional needs. You will play a vital role in helping young people feel safe, understood, and supported in their daily lives.

The Role
