Job summary

MedGen Healthcare is seeking compassionate Support Workers to provide high-quality care to children and young people with complex mental health needs. You will support ASD/ADHD, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and maintain structured routines in daily life.

Role includes documenting care, maintaining safeguarding standards, and contributing to a safe environment. Competitive pay £22.25–£28/hour with flexible shifts and development opportunities on offer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months UK experience as a Support Worker.
• Experience supporting individuals with Autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
• In-date PMVA training (or willingness to complete training).

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent emotional support and reassurance to children experiencing anxiety, distress, or behavioural challenges.
• Support children with autism and ADHD to manage routines, transitions, and sensory sensitivities.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, mealtimes, hygiene, and maintaining a structured routine.
• Implement behaviour support plans and positive behaviour strategies in line with care plans.
• Safely manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using PMVA techniques where necessary.
• Maintain accurate, clear, and timely records of care provided and incidents.
• Promote a safe, nurturing, structured, and stimulating environment tailored to individual needs.

This role involves supporting children and adolescents with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, emotional and behavioural difficulties, and other additional needs. You will play a vital role in helping young people feel safe, understood, and supported in their daily lives.
