Salary: £24,030 - £24,513 per annum
Here at NCHA, we have a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join our new Mental Health Support Service in Nottingham.
NCHA is looking for support workers to join our Mental Health Support Service in Nottingham. You will support service users in the community to overcome issues impacting their mental health and wellbeing.
Your role will involve helping service users identify barriers to independent living and developing support plans using a strengths-based approach to help them remain independent or facilitate discharge from psychiatric wards.
The service will deliver a 12-week intervention involving one-to-one community support, focusing on recovery and overcoming daily life issues affecting mental health.
The primary goal is to enable service users to stay independent in the community and support discharge from psychiatric wards.
We seek someone who shares our values, possesses knowledge and skills relevant to supporting clients with mental health needs, and can demonstrate practical use of their skills and common sense to support vulnerable individuals. A commitment to respecting the dignity and rights of individuals and families is essential, along with excellent communication skills. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not mandatory; transferable skills from other sectors are welcome.
Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00, 20 hours per week.
