Support Worker - Mental Health Support Service, Nottingham

Salary: £24,030 - £24,513 per annum

Here at NCHA, we have a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join our new Mental Health Support Service in Nottingham.

NCHA is looking for support workers to join our new Mental Health Support Service in Nottingham. You will be supporting service users in the community to overcome issues in their daily lives that have been negatively impacting their mental health and wellbeing.

You will support service users to identify barriers and challenges to living independently and, by utilizing a strengths-based approach, develop a support plan to enable them to remain independent in the community or facilitate a timely discharge from psychiatric wards.

We will deliver a 12-week intervention involving one-to-one community support, helping service users recover and overcome issues affecting their mental health and wellbeing.

The primary focus of the service is to enable service users to remain independent in the community and to facilitate discharge from psychiatric wards.

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking someone with the values, knowledge, and skills to work within a support role supporting clients with mental health needs. You should demonstrate how you use your skills and common sense to support vulnerable individuals. A commitment to maintaining the dignity and rights of individuals and families is essential, along with excellent communication skills. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but we also welcome candidates with relevant experience from other sectors or transferable skills.

Working Times and Hours

Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00, 20 hours a week.
