Job description

Are you a dedicated and passionate Mental Health Support Worker looking for flexibility between your home and work life, with the opportunity to earn up to 26.76 per hour while being supported by a nearby agency?

I am actively seeking Mental Health Support Workers with at least six months of experience in a mental health care setting in the Cardiff area. This role offers the chance to enhance your skills at a service providing care, treatment, and rehabilitation for individuals meeting the following criteria:

  • Adults with severe and enduring mental illness requiring a low secure environment
  • Male and female mentally disordered offenders requiring a low secure environment
  • Women with mental health needs and personality disorders requiring a locked ward
Overview
  • Location: Cardiff
  • Pay: 12.82 - 26.76 (PAYE)
  • Shifts: Days, Nights, and Weekends
  • Flexible agency work
  • NB: We do not offer sponsorships
  • Block bookings available — full or part-time

The role: What will you do as a Healthcare Support Worker
  • You need at least 6 months UK experience in an acute mental health setting.
  • Support trained nurses in delivering direct patient care, with excellent support from a team including a dedicated unit manager.
  • Provide therapeutic care, monitor and record patient conditions, and treat each person with dignity, compassion, and honesty.
The candidate: What you'll need as a Healthcare Support Worker
  • At least 6 months recent and relevant experience within an acute mental health setting
  • Practical Manual Handling & BILD Accredited TMVA training
  • UK residency
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Driving license and own vehicle
  • Registration with Social Care Wales
