Job Description

This is a long-term agency contract offering £89-£105 per day in the Education and Training sector.

About the School:

The school, located near Woking, supports children aged 9-16 with social, emotional, and mental health challenges. All students have an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) detailing their needs. The school provides a safe environment and therapies such as occupational therapy, physiotherapy, music, and speech and language therapies, working closely with therapists to ensure appropriate support.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing assistance and supervision for children's behaviour and supporting their learning and participation in class
  • Working with individual or small groups of learners inside and outside the classroom
  • Encouraging social skills development and supporting students' needs
  • Building confidence and motivation
  • Participating in team meetings and training
  • Maintaining progress records
  • Supporting safeguarding regulations

Requirements:

  • An undergraduate degree, preferably in Psychology, Criminology, or a related field
  • Knowledge or interest in learning and behavioural needs
  • Good education levels in English and Maths; A Levels preferred
  • A cooperative, proactive working style
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a caring attitude
