About the Role

Are you passionate about demonstrating the value of education to vulnerable children who have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences?

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Support Coordinator for a small, specialist school near Farnham. All students have social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs and exhibit challenging behaviors. The school focuses on addressing the educational, social, and therapeutic needs of students, prioritizing their happiness and well-being so they can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Ideal Candidate

Are you passionate about restorative approaches? This role offers essential restorative experience within challenging settings, making it ideal for Criminology and Psychology graduates considering careers in prison, rehabilitation, probation, or youth justice services. The position provides hands-on experience working with vulnerable children, building strong relationships to enhance their engagement, attainment, and life chances, aiming to prevent entry into the criminal justice system.

Role Details

You will work alongside teachers and specialists in Farnham to support students with SEMH challenges and traumas. Your role includes identifying risks and needs, escalating concerns as necessary. You will help provide consistency and equip children with tools to feel safe, secure, and empowered, fostering their belief in their potential.

Additional Information
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Excellent on-site training, support, and CPD provided for safeguarding
  • Pay: £85-£100 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, term time only
  • No previous experience required
  • You must be able to travel to Farnham and surrounding areas
