Job summary

Lifeways is recruiting Mental Health Support Workers in Barnsley to join our Enhanced Community Recovery supported living service. This full-time role focuses on helping people with enduring mental health needs transition back to their own homes and communities.

You will work closely with clients to promote independence, build confidence and support their recovery journey. We offer flexible shifts (early, late and sleep‑in) on a rota from Monday to Sunday.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience supporting people with mental health needs.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Confident using IT systems, including Word, databases and email.
• NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care is an advantage, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients to promote independence and support their recovery journey.
• Provide recovery-focused support within Enhanced Community Recovery services in Barnsley.

About the role

We are seeking caring, honest and innovative individuals to join our dedicated team of Recovery Support Workers within our Enhanced Community Recovery supported living service in Barnsley. In this role, you will work closely with clients to promote independence, build confidence and support their ongoing recovery journey.

Shift pattern

Full flexibility is needed to work early, late, and sleep‑in shifts on a rota basis Monday to Sunday.

About you
