As a qualified Mental Health Nurse (RMN), you will ensure men with complex mental and physical health needs receive high-quality care, support your colleagues, and promote positive teamwork.

The wards are busy, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, offering a good balance of routine and variety. Your day-to-day will include:

1. Providing high-quality, effective, and compassionate nursing care to service users
2. Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care
3. Mentoring and supporting team members
4. Observing, recording, and reporting all service user changes, maintaining accurate records

Workplace

You will be working at the Gateway Recovery Centre, a state-of-the-art facility providing care for men and women with complex mental health needs, aiming to reduce risk behaviors and support successful community living.

The service is divided into four areas:

• Male Autism Service for adults with Autism and Asperger’s syndrome
• Assessment and rehabilitation for women with complex mental health and personality difficulties
• Specialist inpatient service for older men with mental and physical health needs
• Low secure care setting for men with mental illness, with or without personality disorder or mild learning disabilities

You will work alongside the team to improve mental health and wellbeing, helping service users develop and maintain healthy relationships.
