Job Description for Mental Health Nurse (RMN)

As a qualified Mental Health Nurse (RMN), you will ensure adults with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs in this community-based Learning Disability service receive high-quality care, while also supporting your colleagues and promoting positive teamwork.

The wards are busy, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, offering a good balance of routine and variety. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing high-quality, effective, and compassionate nursing care to service users.
  2. Being responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  3. Providing mentorship and support to team members.
  4. Observing, recording, and reporting all service user changes, and maintaining accurate records of care provided.
Skills and Knowledge Required
  • A relevant nursing qualification.
  • NMC registration.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • A high level of self-motivation and a flexible approach.
  • A positive attitude, and naturally caring and compassionate nature.
  • A commitment to high-quality care, values, and evidence-based practice.
Workplace Location

Bradley Apartments provides a specialist service for men and women living with complex needs, including primary diagnoses of learning disabilities, mental health issues, or personality disorders.

We support individuals with complex conditions, needs, and risks, including those displaying behaviors of concern and posing challenges for services, including highly complex and severe challenging behaviors.

Located in Bradley, Grimsby, and North East Lincolnshire, Bradley Apartments offers a more relaxed environment than a busy inner-city setting, promoting engagement in therapeutic programs to aid recovery and facilitate discharge. It is approximately 90 minutes by car from York, Sheffield, and Mansfield.
