Job Opportunity: Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse

We have established a new community rehabilitation team to support individuals with serious mental illness and complex needs in North Lincolnshire. This team offers a 7-day service, enabling patients to receive intensive community rehabilitation closer to home.

The service comprises a multidisciplinary, multi-agency workforce collaborating with Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) and North Lincolnshire Council. The goal is to share skills and expertise to support individuals and enhance their quality of life.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join as a Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, highly organized, and capable of delivering high-quality nursing care, assessment, and treatment.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive community mental health nursing services across a diverse client base engaging in the rehabilitation pathway. The role requires collaboration with other agencies, emphasizing the importance of independence and teamwork.

Minimum Requirements

• Post-registration experience as an RMN, including inpatient and community settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered, accessible, and responsive clinical services over a 7-day week.
• Provide skilled nursing care, including assessments, care planning, biopsychosocial interventions, risk management, and promoting recovery and inclusion.
• Administer medicines following Trust policies and legal standards.
• Perform clinical procedures, train, and supervise junior staff.
• Maintain professionalism in line with NMC guidelines.
• Contribute to infection prevention and control measures.
• Respect patient, carer, and family views, working collaboratively to meet their needs.
