Job Title: Mental Health Nurse (RMN)

As a qualified Mental Health Nurse (RMN), you will ensure adults with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability, who may also present with mental illness, personality disorders, and autistic spectrum conditions, receive high-quality care. You will support your colleagues and promote positive teamwork in this rehabilitation service.

The wards are busy, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, offering a good mix of routine and variety. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing high-quality, effective, and compassionate nursing care to service users
  2. Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care
  3. Mentoring and supporting team members
  4. Observing, recording, and reporting all service user changes, maintaining accurate care records
Skills and Knowledge Required:
  • A relevant nursing qualification
  • NMC registration
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • A high level of self-motivation and a flexible approach
  • A positive attitude, caring, and compassionate nature
  • A commitment to high-quality care, values, and evidence-based practice
Workplace Details:

You will be working at Cefn Carnau, a low secure/rehabilitation service for adults with a primary diagnosis of learning disability, who may also present with mental illness, personality disorders, and autistic spectrum conditions.

The programmes offered include sex offender treatment, anger management, trauma therapy, art psychotherapy, and bespoke psychological sessions tailored for individuals with learning disabilities.
