About the team:
The Croydon Mental Health Liaison Service provides psychiatric assessments for people aged 18 and above to determine if they need mental health care and treatment. We care for people who live in the London Borough of Croydon, ensuring they receive the expertise needed to address their mental health problems. We provide a 24-hour service to Croydon University Hospital offering urgent assessment and intervention to patients. The team includes Nurses, Doctors, an Occupational Therapist, and a Clinical Psychologist.
About the role:
The successful candidates will be clinically confident in assessing mental health service users presenting in emergencies, carrying out short-term interventions, and making independent decisions. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, often working under pressure. You will possess excellent assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills. You will work well with others and enjoy multidisciplinary work while maintaining the highest standard of care. You will be expected to work in partnership with our clinical assessment unit (CAU), part of the mental health liaison services within the hospital.
