Mental Health Assistant – Maidenhead – September Start

Are you experienced in helping children with mental health challenges or a psychology graduate seeking your first role in mental health?

A lovely school in Maidenhead is seeking a Mental Health Assistant to join their team starting in September. The ideal candidate is either a Psychology Graduate or has experience with ASD, ADHD, and SEN. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will be a vital part of the team and will receive support throughout your tenure.

The school is looking for a Mental Health Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with SEMH, who is resilient and patient. Additionally, there is a role supporting a Year 6 pupil with ASD and ADHD, who is part of a small group with complex needs.

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  1. Supporting children's behaviour for learning in the classroom
  2. Helping children understand teacher instructions
  3. Working with individual learners 1:1 or with small groups in the Learning Support department
  4. Monitoring and recording pupil progress
