MENTAL HEALTH MONEY ADVICE OFFICER

Location: Home based, covering all of N Ireland and providing regional cover when required.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Starting Salary: £28,482 (Band 3.1)

Fixed term contract to 31 March 2026

To provide holistic money advice to clients who are experiencing both poor mental health and financial difficulties, using your knowledge and expertise to identify and address a range of issues and provide debt, financial capability, welfare advice and support services to people with mental health issues.

What we ask for from you:

  • Educated to at least GCSE level and have obtained at least English and Mathematics Grades A-C or equivalent.
  • Must have completed Adviser Training Programme (ATP) or OCN Level 4 Advice & Guidance accreditation
  • Must be willing to undertake prescribed training in Debt, Mental Health & Welfare Benefits. This will require a minimum of 1 training course per month.
  • At least one years’ experience in providing advice to the public
  • At least 1 years’ experience of working with electronic Case Recording databases.
  • At least 2 years’ recent experience providing administrative support in an advice-giving sector.
  • Well-developed IT skills- comfortable using Microsoft Office packages and bespoke databases.
  • Ability to demonstrate alignment with MindWise’s core values of Passion, Respect, Empathy, Togetherness, Openness & Transparency.
