Job summary

Fashion Personnel in Nottingham is seeking a Menswear Designer for a fixed-term contract. You will own the menswear product area from trend research and concept development through to technical design and production.

The role requires strong CAD skills and a commercial eye, with collaboration across multiple product categories. Immediate start available for a full-time, 37-hour week, fixed-term of 4–6 months.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years' fashion design experience, ideally in menswear.
• Strong Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills.
• Good understanding of fabrics, garment construction and product development.
• Experience working across multiple product categories.
• Commercial eye with strong attention to detail and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop commercial, trend-led menswear collections.
• Create detailed technical CADs and product specifications.
• Work with overseas suppliers on samples, costings and development.
• Attend fit sessions and sample reviews to ensure design quality.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Menswear Designer to join a well-established heritage fashion brand.

The successful candidate will play a key role within the design team, taking ownership of the menswear product area from initial trend research and concept development through to technical design and production.

The Role

• Develop commercial, trend-led menswear collections that reflect current trends and customer needs.
• Create detailed technical CADs and product specifications.
• Work closely with overseas suppliers on samples, costings and product development.
• Attend fit sessions and sample review meetings, ensuring products meet design and quality expectations.
• Contribute to other product categories when required.
• Collaborate with the wider team to support the successful delivery of seasonal collections.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:
