Job summary

TRP RECRUITMENT is partnering with an established womenswear brand in Leicester to recruit a talented Multi-Product Designer. The role involves developing cohesive collections across multiple product categories with a strong commercial focus.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for colour, print, fabric and detail, and can take concepts from trend research through to final development, with solid CAD and presentation abilities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a womenswear designer with multi-product background preferred.
• Portfolio showing work across multiple womenswear categories and cohesive collections.
• Strong commercial eye to interpret trends for end customers.
• Solid understanding of colour, print, fabric, silhouette and garment construction.
• Confident using Illustrator and Photoshop; CAD skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Design across a broad range of womenswear categories, creating cohesive and commercially successful collections.
• Research seasonal trends, colours, prints, fabrics and silhouettes for the brand’s target customer.
• Develop seasonal mood boards, colour palettes, range concepts and design presentations.
• Create detailed CADs and technical design packs for suppliers and factories.
• Select and develop fabrics, prints, trims and finishes suitable for product and customer.
• Attend fit sessions and collaborate with technical teams to ensure fit and quality.
• Manage product development from concept through sample approval.
• React to in-season trends and trading information to develop new product as needed.
• Ensure collections balance newness, fashionability, wearability and commercial appeal.

We are working with an established womenswear fashion brand based in Leicester who are looking for a talented Multi-Product Designer to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, commercially minded designer who understands how to create stylish, feminine collections across womenswear. The successful candidate will work across multiple product categories, developing ranges that feel contemporary and relevant while remaining true to the brand's customer and handwriting.

We are looking for someone with a strong eye for colour, print, fabric, shape and detail, who can confidently take product from initial trend research and concept through to final development.

Main Responsibilities

• Designing across a broad range of womenswear categories, creating cohesive and commercially successful collections.
• Researching seasonal trends, colours, prints, fabrics and key silhouettes, interpreting these appropriately for the brand's target customer.
• Developing seasonal mood boards, colour palettes, range concepts and design presentations.
• Creating detailed CADs and technical design packs for suppliers and factories.
• Selecting and developing fabrics, prints, trims and finishes appropriate to the product and customer.
• Attending fit sessions and working collaboratively with technical teams to ensure excellent fit, quality and finish.
• Managing product development from initial concept through to final sample approval.
• Reacting to in-season trends and trading information, developing new product where required.
• Ensuring collections offer the right balance of newness, fashionability, wearability and commercial appeal.

Person Specifications

• Previous experience as a Womenswear Designer, ideally with a strong multi-product background.
• A portfolio demonstrating experience across multiple womenswear categories and the ability to build cohesive collections.
• A strong commercial eye with the ability to interpret trends in a way that feels appropriate and relevant to the end customer.
• Strong understanding of colour, print, fabric, silhouette and garment construction.
• Confident using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with strong CAD skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
