We are a leading fashion supplier delivering the latest trends across jersey and woven shirts. We have several factories, mainly working in Turkey, and work with a large variety of customers.

We are a short lead supplier working in real time with both factories and customers, so it’s a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for an enthusiastic menswear designer to work on shirt products, with the opportunity to work on jersey too. The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for interpreting fashion trends and designing to suit our customer base. Responsibilities include designing and developing new product ranges that align with market trends and customer needs, offering innovation and fresh approaches to design.

Main Responsibilities

1. Design of current Men's fashion ranges to present to clients.
2. Identify and understand clients’ brand identity and handwriting when designing and range building.
3. Put together Design, Mood, Colour and Trend Boards.
4. Stay up to date with latest trends and understand which are relevant for your accounts.
5. Sourcing fabric and trims, attending fabric shows, and liaising with mills.
6. Produce detailed technical packs for accurate first-time samples.
7. Carry out trend research through online resources and shop visits.
8. Liaise with factories and mills.
9. Build strong relationships with buyers and designers.
10. Review best sellers and identify gaps to offer to retailers.
11. Ensure development is actioned and received in time for customer sign-offs.
12. Design in-house ranges to offer to customers.
13. Prepare and run design meetings with retailers, ensuring products align with retailer trends.

Experience

1. Minimum 2 years of experience designing menswear shirts/jersey, preferably for a supplier.
2. Experience in other product areas is advantageous.
3. Some experience with graphics is desired.
4. Good understanding of fabrics and fabric development.
5. Strong knowledge of commercial fashion.
6. Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.
7. Understanding of garment construction.
8. Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
9. Ability to work independently and on initiative.
10. Excellent communication skills, comfortable working with colleagues and clients at all levels, including factories and mills in Turkey.
11. Highly organized, efficient, and capable of working under tight deadlines.
12. Self-motivated.
