Job summary
RTX in Plymouth invites a highly motivated engineer to join the MEMS inertial sensor team. The role focuses on experimental investigations, data analysis, and documenting performance specs as part of cutting-edge inertial MEMS development.
You will work in a hybrid setup with strong collaboration across R&D, engineering, and product teams, contributing to advanced control systems and multi-physics analyses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Physics, Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Eng.
- Experience with data analysis tools (MATLAB).
- Familiarity with MEMS inertial sensors and MEMS tech basics.
- Experience in an R&D environment and sensor design.
- Knowledge of control systems and MATLAB/Simulink.
- Experience with multi-physics tools such as ANSYS/COMSOL.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute experimental investigations.
- Analyze performance data and interpret results.
- Assist with project planning and deliver technical work packages.
- Track and report technical status on tasks.
- Prepare target performance specs and related documents.
- Participate in brainstorming and problem solving.
