Job summary

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, is seeking a Senior Electronics Systems Engineer for Plymouth or Bristol on a hybrid basis. You will design and develop high-performance analog, digital and mixed-signal electronics for IMUs and MEMS sensors, collaborating with Systems, Software and Mechanical teams.

The role requires a 2:1 Electronics degree, experience with analogue circuits, FPGA/DSP integration, and E-CAD tools; you must be eligible for security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of analogue electronics.
• Experience integrating analogue with high-speed digital devices (FPGAs, DSPs and microprocessors).
• Experience designing precision circuitry, including op-amps, DACs, ADCs and voltage references.
• An understanding of control theory and open and closed-loop systems.
• Experience using E-CAD systems for schematic capture, PCB layout and circuit/PCB simulation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and test analogue, digital and mixed-signal electronics across the full product lifecycle for new and legacy products and test equipment.
• Support hardware integration testing, troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Use E-CAD tools for schematic capture, PCB layout and circuit/PCB simulation.
• Work closely with Systems, Software, Mechanical and other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
