Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Plymouth is seeking a MEMS inertial sensor R&D engineer to join the Technology Development team. You will plan experiments, analyze data, and help deliver technical work packages within a hybrid on-site/off-site setup.

Candidates may have a physics/engineering background; MATLAB data analysis experience is valued, along with familiarity with MEMS technologies and FE tools. The role offers pension, health cover, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Physics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related subject
• Post-graduate degree beneficial but not essential
• Experience using MATLAB for data analysis and data interpretation
• Demonstrable ability to innovate and generate ideas

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute experimental investigations
• Analyze performance data and interpret results
• Assist with project planning and delivery of technical work packages
• Track and report technical status on tasks
• Generate and configure relevant documents (e.g. target specs)
• Participate in brainstorming and problem solving
