Job summary

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Memory Assessment Nurse for Bolton memory assessment service. The post focuses on specialist community and clinic-based memory assessments, guiding post-diagnostic support, and duty screening of referrals within the MAS framework.

You will work as part of an integrated MDT, autonomously and with the team to deliver and enhance the service. Experience in memory problems and band 6 level is preferred.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated post-registration nursing experience.
• Experience in memory assessment environments preferred.
• Ability to work with older adults and cognitive impairment.

Responsibilities

• Memory Assessment Service: provide specialist nursing services in MAS.
• Contribute to development and integration of nursing interventions.
• Deliver tailored service for people with dementia.
• Undertake assessment and treatment for suspected cognitive impairment per NICE guidelines.
• Supervise junior staff as delegated by MAS Team Leader.
• Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams and services.
• Engage in teaching, liaison, and service promotion.
• Contribute to audit and research within MATS.
