Job summary

The Crematorium and Memorial Group is seeking a Memorial Consultant at Beckenham Crematorium to help families create lasting tributes. You will guide clients in choosing and personalising memorials that fit their wishes and budget, while delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities include meeting families, presenting options, and coordinating with suppliers and site teams. Training and development are provided, with a strong emphasis on empathy and accurate records management.

Qualifications

  • Has natural empathy and ability to support grieving families with sensitivity.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Confident communicator with strong active listening skills.
  • Organised and detail-oriented with excellent administrative abilities.
  • Experience in client support, retail, bereavement services, or similar client-facing roles.
  • PC literate - able to use IT systems, including Microsoft Office, Outlook and internal databases.

Position: Memorial Consultant
Location: Beckenham Crematorium
Job Type: 6 Month Fixed Term contract, 38.33 hours per week
Salary: £30,595.06 per annum + sales based commission

The Role

As a Memorial Consultant, you will work with families to help them choose and personalise memorials that suit their wishes and budget. You will provide clear, compassionate advice while maintaining excellent client service and meeting agreed performance goals.

Key Responsibilities
