Job summary

Fireworks is seeking an Applied Machine Learning Engineer to bridge cutting-edge research and practical AI solutions. You will build, fine-tune, and operationalize models that drive business value and improve user experiences across client deployments.

This hands-on role emphasizes strong Python coding, customer collaboration, PoC development, end-to-end application builds, platform improvements, and model enablement to scale in enterprise environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years in a software engineering role, with customer-facing experience.
• Strong Python coding skills.
• Proven ability to lead and deliver complex technical projects.
• Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with GTM team to ensure successful deployment of ML solutions.
• Build and present PoCs to demonstrate capabilities.
• Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end AI-powered applications.
• Contribute to internal ML platform features and bug fixes.
• Integrate and enable new ML models for clients.
• Improve performance and scalability of deployed models.
• Partner with ecosystem to enable joint AI solutions.
